Irrational Exuberance (Yatta), a Flash Animated video by Veloso.
"Animutations" were a thing from the dark ages of the Internet. Basically the ingredients were:
- Macromedia Flash (before it could do any video, and long before sites like YouTube)
- Some teenager with too much free time
- Some foreign language song, preferably Japanese, preferably Pokemon-related
- Silly interpretations of the lyrics
- Loads of random shit, and your favourite animated GIFs
- Mandatory Colin Mochrie images
- Don’t forget the loading screen for all those dial-up users!
I found out about these due to my chronic obsession with Japanese Pokemon songs at the time (HOW’S YOUR MOUTH ROLLING TODAY?).

Seventh gen console wars: I’m done with this shit now.
As you may have suspected, most of this was from 4chan’s /v/ back in the day. It seemed the PS3 got the most ridicule image-wise, but there was always the old RROD to fight back with.
At the height of these console wars, there were word filters added to /v/ which gave a one-day ban to anyone who said “nintendrone”, “xbot” or “sonyfag”.
I’ll document the eighth gen console wars in another 7 seven years maybe?
Seventh gen console wars: The Legend Will Never Die
They sure got good mileage out of this image
Seventh gen console wars: Never forget
The PlayStation 3: Often compared to a George Foreman Grill or a trouser press, apparently it also “sux”.
Amstrad CPC demo from 2011 (Batman is also there)
Seventh gen console wars: Yes I still have more of these
Nintendo Wii: The unexpected success story? Of course there was the associated hate and trolling
Seventh gen console wars: A history in imagery
The PS3 had no games, apparently.
Seventh gen console wars: A history in GIFs
"Why do they call it a 360?"
"Because when you see it, you’ll turn 360 degrees and walk away"
Seventh gen console wars: A history in terrible shops
Seventh gen console wars: I can’t even remember what games those scores were in reference to.
